Asian indoor and martial arts games 2017
Appointed within the Games planning and delivery operator for the event and part of the initial consolidation of international professionals sent to the country to provide senior management consultancy for the Logistics department. This event was the first of its kind for Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and required full integration of new principles and practices for the country that had no previous event experience. The implementation and delivery of the games structure was conducted in 18 months, much shorter than the time frames for events of this size and calibre.
The Logistics operation consisted of the planning and execution of services and resources for the full supply chain including Materials Management, Customs and Freight, Warehouse Management and Venue and Village Logistics. It also involved top tier stakeholder engagement to establish solid relationships with government ministries for a coordinated approach in achieving event deliverables.
